We all know how successful the Vauxhall Astra has been, but now we know why. It’s all about quality and innovation – People truly want to drive it! The Astra range has always been sought after and the latest generation is no exception with its audacious silhouette and first-class driving experience the legend continues to evolve.
Ever since 1979 the Astra has evolved from the assembly plant in Cheshire to become one of the best-loved British compact cars. Late 2009 will mark the introduction of the sixth brand new Vauxhall Astra, which yields a bold new shape and a premium, dynamic driving experience.
With its lean sculpted silhouette, muscular coupe-inspired lines and intelligent use of technology the new car redefines the traditional hatchback design and is set to continue the race to what’s fast becoming a motoring legend.
The Vauxhall Insignia VXR is a car to get excited about. The 2.8litre turbo-charged V6 pumps out an exhilarating 321bhp but most importantly it’s not just about power from “a to b” its about performance from “a to b to c”. This car is a combination of the best-proven bits of other models; the four-wheel drive system is similar to that of the Saab 9-3X and the front suspension is not a mile away from the new RS Focus. Sophisticated, yet powerfully distinctive you reportedly get more for your buck than an Audi S4.
Standard features on this Insignia include Brembo cross-drilled discs for superb braking, bi-xenon headlights with dynamic beam levelling, Vauxhalls intelligent adaptive forward lighting (AFL) system, electronic limited slip differential (eLSD), unique VXR lowered chassis with tuned bushing and damper settings and a DAB CD entertainment centre to boot.
Great news for Vauxhall customers as the government extends the extremely popular car scrappage scheme. Now anybody with a car over 10 years old or a van registered before 2002 can come into Grimshaws Vauxhall, trade it in and receive £2,000 towards the cost of a new vehicle, courtesy of Grimshaws and the government.
Consumers must act soon as it’s on a first come first served basis and the offer is time-limited and due to run out on 28th February 2010 or until the government funding runs out.
This programme is on top of the huge range of Vauxhall incentives, whatsmore Grimshaws will sort all the paperwork out for you, including the arrangements for your old vehicle to be scrapped.

This 5-door hatchback’s vibrant performance will be further heightened by Vauxhall’s smart FlexRide system, a scarcity in this car type.
